He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joshua and Mildred Waddell Colson; his wife Mary Louise Colson; and his siblings, Mary Jane Colson, James, Russell and Robert Colson.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda L. Pipkin (Edward) of Hagerstown, William E. Colson (Lucille) of Wilkes Barre, PA, David L. Colson (Debra) of Gettysburg, PA, Joseph M. Colson (Sherry) of Union Bridge, Douglas J. Colson (Ann) of Taneytown and Steve A. Colson of Taneytown; and his siblings, Shirley Main (Charles) of Florida, Vonnie Freed (Edward) of Westminster and Charles Colson (Carol) of Westminster. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
