It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Richard Garst of Keymar, Maryland, born in Frederick, Maryland, who passed away on January 13, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gilmer Garst and Mae Cordelia Knill Garst; his wife Florence Rebecca Garst; his sons, Dave and Randy Garst; and his siblings, John Garst and Louise Cline.
He is survived by: his sons, George "Dick" Garst (Barb), Michael Garst (Susie) and Dana Garst (Vanessa); and his siblings, Denton, Donald Garst and Virginia Coblentz. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
