He was predeceased by: his wife Claire Yvonne Biberstein Kendall; his brother John N. Kendall; and his parents, Albert S. Kendall and Mary Josephine Fudala. He is survived by: his children, Paul Francis Kendall (Jeannette) of Ellicott City, MD, Therese Marie Lipovsky (Bob) of Berryville, VA and Mary Claire Kendall of Kensington, MD.; his grandchildren, Caitlin Workman and Diego Garcia; and his caregivers, Katibeth Laws (Bo), Joseph Kendall (Marin), Elizabeth Lipovsky, Adam Kendall (Kelsey), Christina Goodwin (Jess), Marie Jennings (Adam), Sara Kendall (Chris), David Lipovsky (Sophia), Navy, Charlie Kendall, Gregory Lipovsky, Nina Kendall, Mary Lou Lipovsky, Rosie Kendall and Isabel Kendall. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
