He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Katie Stroot and Charlie Stroot; his wife Jane Byler; and his children, Thomas Stroot (Mary), Laura Richardell (James), Andrew Stroot and Matthew Stroot (Lesley). He was also cherished by nine grandchildren, four sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
