She was predeceased by: her husband Lemuel Caleb Dean; her adoptive parents, Elwood Schaffer and Mary Schaffer; her siblings, Paul Schaffer, Fred Schaffer, James Bernard Russell, Sidney Lewis Russell, William Claude Russell, Albert John Russell and Mary Russell Quade; her grandson Gene Aloysius Cusic, Jr.; and her great grandchild Steven Allen Cusic, Jr. (Betty).
She is survived by: her children, Diane Elizabeth Standish (John) of Mechanicsville, MD, Wendy Louise Wright (Ken) of Sandusky, OH, Yvonne Carol Dean of Kensington, MD, Gerald Elwood Dean (Cynthia) of Mechanicsville, MD, Dale Robert Dean (Debbie) of Mechanicsville, MD. and Horseshoe League; her great grandchildren, David Hayden, Jr. and Dale Vallandingham; and also, David Hayden, Sr., Steven Cusic, Sr., Jeremy Dean and Ronnie Cusic. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
