He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Stubbs, Sr. and Thelma B. Stubbs of Kensington, MD.; his daughter Carol A. Loveless; and his grandson John S. Stubbs IV. He is survived by: his wife Amelia D. Stubbs (Mimi); and his children, Ellen M. Brown (Barry) of Brookeville, MD, John S. Stubbs III (Angela) of Gaithersburg, MD and Barbara L. Fones (Gil) of Laytonsville, MD.. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, three great-grandsons, and three nephews.
