It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernesto D'Avella of Kensington, Maryland, who passed away on October 26, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Consiglia "Lilia" D'Avella; his children, Tony D'Avella (Dana), Joe D'Avella, Sandra D'Avella, Lora D'Avella and Anna Shaner; his children-in-law, John Shaner, Papanonno (late Kristen) of Donald Shaner, Angela Dwyer (Zachary), Joel Shaner, Christina Shaner, Gianna D'Avella, Nicholas D'Avella and Bisnonno; his great grandchild Liliana Dwyer; and his siblings, Clementina Capobianco, Maria Petruccelli and Josepina Trigiani. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends (following social distance and mask-wearing protocol) may call at Holy Redeemer Church, 9705 Summit Ave, Kensington, MD, on Monday, November 2, beginning at 10 a. m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a. m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery Hospice, 1355 Piccard Drive, Suite 100, Rockville, MD 20850.
