She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Ruess and Mildred Ruess. She is survived by: her husband John August O'Connell; her daughter Hannah Marie O'Connell; and her siblings, Bernadette Yarbrough (Paul), Joanne Hogan Patricia Pfingstel (Michael), Marilyn Zibilich (George), Thomas Ruess (Marianne) and Bernard Ruess (Barbara). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
