He was predeceased by: his parents, Orley Burdette Lane and Marion Waddell Lane; and his siblings, Donald Lane, Jack Francis Lane, Gaynelle Beckon and MaryCarole Sheets.
He is survived by: his nephew Russell Sheets of Laurel, MD; and his niece Jen Sheets of Ellicott City, MD.. He is also survived by many cousins, great nieces and nephews.
