She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Biscoe Long and Bertie Long (Barefoot); her son Mahartney F. Strickland, Jr.; and her siblings, Edward H. Long, Lois Long, Norma Croston, Phyllis Long, Willard B. Long, Jr., Charles V. Long, William F. Long and Margaret Myers.
She is survived by: her spouse Mahartney Franklin Strickland; her children, Phyllis E. Scible of Glen Burnie, MD, Carolyn S. Strickland of Jessup, MD, Bertie L. Schueler (Victor) of Glen Burnie, MD and Joyce A. Bradley (Peter) of Las Cruces, NM; and her sisters-in-law, Thelma Long and Carol Long. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
