It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claude Gilleland (Jessup, Maryland), born in Statesville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 8, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Gilleland and Lillie Gilleland (Troutman); his wife Jeannette Powers; and his siblings, Monroe, Rose, Kelton, Ruby, Troy, Charlotte, Betty, Slade, Geraldine and Mott.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Gilleland (Barb) of Fargo and Kathy Fisher (Mike) of Mount Airy, MD; his grandchildren, Janel Laufenberg (Brandon), Keri Krueger (Cody), Michael Fisher (Amy) and Krystal Fisher; his brother Kenneth Gilleland; and his brother-in-law Robert Wolfe. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
