She was predeceased by: her sons, Hugh Johnson, Jr. and Chad Johnson; her parents, James Jane and Mary Jane (Scott); and her siblings, John Houston, Helen Davenport, James Houston, Jr., Mary Ann Young and Martha Ebb.
She is survived by: her son Melvin Thomas (Danna); her grandchildren, Melvin Thomas, II, Kyle Thomas, Cierra Johnson and Olivia Johnson; and her siblings, Lee Kelly, William Houston, Sam Houston, Melba Jones, Lawrence Houston and Lawren Green. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
