He is survived by: his wife Christine Monroe (Thompson); his daughters, Karen Conway (Mike) of Myersville, MD, Heather Monroe (Dave Flora) of Jefferson, MD and Jennifer DeLawder (Adam Nack) of Jefferson, MD; his granddaughter Kayla Brody of Myersville, MD; his children, Jaylan DeLawder of Jefferson, MD, Dylan DeLawder of Jefferson, MD and Parker Nack of Jefferson, MD; his siblings, Margie Staton (Larry) of Frederick, MD, Debbie Leizear (late Dwayne) of Derwood, MD, David Monroe of Frederick, MD, Cindy Benear (Dan) of Frederick, MD and Larry Monroe (Heather) of Frederick, MD.; his nieces and nephews, Gary Weakley, Daryl Staton, Tammy Brawner, Michelle Weakley, Ashley Hall, Samantha Monroe and Tiffany Monroe; his adoptive son Roy "Chucky" DeLawder III; his in-laws, Bill and Mary Thompson; his sister-in-law Cheryl Hampton (Nick); and his friends, Rose, Fred Benear, Cyndi Schofield, Jay Thatcher and Ronnie Linton.
