He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel Boyd and Edith Clark Fielder (Delp); his wife Doris; his children, Jody E. Varvaris (John), Laurie Fielder Reeves (Kevin), Valerie R. Matta (Guy), Yvonne L. Fonner (Mark) and Sam Fielder III (Margie); his stepdaughters, Jennifer Finney Shorr (Rodger) and Allyson Rivera; and his siblings, Mary Katherine Grafton, Nancy Robinson, James Fielder, Randolph Fielder and Ruth Francis. He was also cherished by 18 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
