He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard McMillan and Reba McMillan (Bryan); and his siblings, Louis McMillan, Ina Jean Buchanan and Vetra Shaw.

He is survived by: his son Lawrence James McMillan (Chenoa); his siblings, Lois V. Birchen, Tamara Lee, Shirley Tittle and James L. McMillan; and his grandchildren, Phillip McMillan and Saniyah McMillan.
