He was predeceased by: his parents, G. Walter Hostler and Margaret Belle Hostler (Wilson); his spouse Franie "Elizabeth" Hostler; his brothers, Weldon and Wilson "Bud" Hostler; and his niece Elizabeth Rae Hostler.

He is survived by: his niece Weldene Hostler Baertl Smith; and his nephew Carroll Scott (Shirley).
