It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Bains (Ijamsville, Maryland), born in Suffolk, Virginia, who passed away on December 20, 2018, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sister Nathalia Shifflet of Stanardsville, VA.. She is survived by: her parents, Frank Worth Baines and Ollie Mae Norwood Baines; her children, Rebecca (Tony Chmelik) of Ijamsville, MD, Amy (Larry Flora) of Norfolk, VA and Doug (Julie Chappell) of Frederick, MD; her siblings, Frank (Sandra Baines) of Huntsville, Alabama, James Oliver Baines of Texas, Kaye (Frank Webster) of Staunton, VA and Deborah (Greg Quinn) of Charlottesville, VA; her great grandchild Jonathon (Kathryn); her daughters, Genevieve and Coralynn; and her friends, Grade and Robert E. Dailey, Jr of Frederick, MD.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary Ellen Bains, 71, of Ijamsville, Maryland, formerly of Suffolk, Virginia, passed peacefully at the home of her daughter on Thursday, December 20, 2018 due to complications from Alzheimer's and Multiple Myeloma Cancer.
