We are sad to announce that on December 28, 2024, at the age of 82, Ray Richardson (Hyattsville, Maryland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Richardson and Margaret J. Richardson Edom; his sisters, Barbara Richardson Galbreath, Christine Richardson and Ferne Richardson Walker; and his niece Sharmane Richardson-Jewell.
He is survived by: his friend Leonard Johnson; his wife Jewelene Richardson; his sister Diann Richardson Cooper; his daughter Tracy N. Richardson; his nieces, Dana Galbreath-Taylor (Craig) and Nicol Galbreath Smith (Derek); his nephew Darnell A. Cooper; his great-nephews, Kendall R. Galbreath, Nigel L. Richardson, Lacey D. Rainey III and Carter M. Jewell; his siblings-in-law, Pearlene Young, Linda J, Euell, Michelle R. Sanchious (Nate Jr.), Lawrence March and Clyde E. Ward; and also Quinn Burwell. He is also survived by other relatives, dear friends, great neighbors.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Merrifield (8122 Ransell Rd, Falls Church, VA 22042). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
