We bid farewell to Orchid Renee Curtis-Hughley (Hyattsville, Maryland), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 5, 2025 at the age of 64. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Curtis and Harold Curtis; her husband Emory "Duke" Hughley III; her sisters, Jeanette McDonald, Scherri Curtis and Antoinette Curtis; her parents-in-law, Emory Hughley Jr. and Carrie Hughley; and her sister-in-law Cassandra Hughley.
She is survived by: her children, Cameron Hughley (Janae) and Myasia Hughley; her stepson Emory Stewart; her grandchildren, Amyrah Eke, Zyair Steele, Journi Hughley, Azari Steele and Saiore Hughley; and her siblings, Yvonne Tolson (Fred), Violet Curtis, Christy Davis and Harold Curtis Jr.. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews. cousins, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and devoted friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Highland Park (6801 Sheriff Rd, Hyattsville, MD 20785). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
