He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Wesley Sampson and Clair Elizabeth Adams; his spouse Sue Ann Daniels of Louisville; his brother Leon Sampson of Hurlock; his children, Paulette Turlington Hurlock, MD (Jacob), Verdell Sampson Weems (Clinton), Cheryl Jones Salisbury, Lawon Barns of Hawaii, Derrick Sampson and Percell Luke of Hurlock; his grandchildren, Yolanda Sampson, Altoya Jones, Terrance Jones and Robyn Barnes; his great grandchildren, Justin Sampson Shabazz and Ariella Truth Jones Armwood; his sisters, Geneva Sampson, Geraldine Adams, Margaret Sampson, Earlene Sampson (Lewis) and Mary Sampson; his close friends, Marvin Hughes, William Peterson and Sharon Warner; and also Linda. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives.
