She was predeceased by: her parents, Conrad Fuchs and Caroline K. Fuchs of Preston, MD.; her husband R. Alan Nichols; and her siblings, James H. Fuchs, Edward C. Fuchs and Caroline F. Oliphant.

She is survived by: her daughters, Lynn Isenberg Short (Robert) of Millsboro, DE and Janice A. Isenberg of Preston, MD; and her grandson Frederick Short of Arlington, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, PO Box 39, Preston, MD 21655.
