He is survived by: his wife Viletta Newcomb Young; his children, Elmer O. Young, Shonta Young (Freddie), Tyneisha Duncan (Joseph) and Tovar Young; his siblings, Granville G. Young (Sharon), Willis W. Young, Celestine Gibson and Joyce Y. Jones (Randolph); his grandchildren, Shamar, Enazajah, Brycen Young, LaCurtis, LaMar, Rebekah, Samson, Trevor Opher, Zhane Dobson, Sean, Jaylin Duncan, William D. Cottle and Cameron J. Young; his stepchildren, Brian and Miya Newcomb; his father-in-law Joseph Newcomb; his siblings-in-law, Rudolph, Charles Johnson, Melvin Scott (Thomasina), Mernith Patterson, Derrick, Tracey Durant, Kunta Braswell, Deborah Bailey, Tonya Newcomb and Askins; his aunts and uncles, Rudell (Alice), Douglas (Lorraine), Anthony (Wan), Charles Potter (Demetria), Marian Spry, Anna Wongus, Sulla Parker and Jacqueline Jefferson (Jeff); and his close friends, William "Skeeter" Cephas and Leroy Camper.
