She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeremiah Batson and Hattie Batson; her husband Jural Butler; her daughter Lisa Nickerson-Stanley; her siblings, Thomas Batson, Grace Batson (Jeremiah Batson), Mary Cook of Virginia, Addie Bolden, Charles Batson, Alfred Batson, William Batson and Pearl Lofland; her grandson Vincent Stanley; and her sisters-in-law, Willie Mae Neeley and Julia Nickerson.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Bland (Willie) of Federalsburg, Vanessa Draine of Federalsburg, Lynne Nickerson-Jones (Vernon) of Silver Spring, Eric Butler of Federalsburg, Louis Batson (Rosalie) of Seaford, George Batson (Vanessa) of Cambridge and Shirley Batson of Seaford, Delaware; and her grandchildren, SherRose Hughes-Holmes (Brian), Lakesha Hammond (Shawn), Ariel Thompson, William Bland, Eric Butler (E. J.), Jaren Jones, Erica Butler, Shawn Beckett, SheKeya Beckett, Jourdan Jones and Jeania Nickerson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Although she was unable to be out and about, she was on the phone making calls, getting donations from family and friends and making suggestions to assist with Bethel's and the League's events.
