He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Robey Herring; and his son Stephen A. Herring. He is survived by: his sons, Martin C. Herring (Mary Frances) of Mechanicsville, David C. Herring (Karen) of Hurlock and John F. Herring of Wilmington; his sister Patti Keaffaber of Connersville; and his sister-in-law Wanda Helterbran of Earl Park. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
