He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alma Virginia (Wilburn) and James V. Bowen; his wife Carolyn Boswell Bowen; his daughter Kelly Ann Kanarr of Frederick; his granddaughter Amanda Carolyn Kanarr of Baltimore; his siblings, James Vernon Bowen (late Lyndia) of Huntingtown and Phyllis Arline Bowen of Huntingtown; and his son-in-law Kenneth E. Kanarr (Mills, MD) of Owings.
