He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora Blake and Gordon Blake; his siblings, Jerry and Joan; his former wife Carol; and his brother Gordon, Jr. (Johnny).

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Beavers; his children, Richard Warnke (Courtney), Jeremiah Blake (Ashley), Michelle Nicholas (Brian), Matthew Blake (Karla), Carli Blake (Jacko) and Samantha Blake; his grandchildren, Gabby Blake, Jackson Blake, Sophia Blake, Serenity Blake, Brielle Nicholas, Raelynn Blake, Ezekiel Meja, Hayden Reedy, Liam Blake, Tristan Warnke, Lorelia Warnke, Mian Nicholas and Silas Reedy; his siblings, Mike Blake (Sandy), Bernie Blake, Paul Blake (Debbie), Lewis Blake, Alma Moritz (Dave), Dottie Bennett, Margaret Miller (Charlie) and Carol Mahon Blake; and his close friends, Sean "Razor" Rodrigues, Greg, Richy Knox and Kim James.

Flowers will be accepted and memorial contributions in Johnny's name can be sent to St. Mary's Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church, 2000 Hambrooks Blvd., Cambridge, MD 21613.

“There is something after this life. What it is I am not sure of. I have faith in what I grew up & taught in my life. The Physicist state matter cannot be created nor destroyed it just changes forms. What I am sure of is when I get there, there will be no time to rest in peace. There will be new & exciting adventure ahead. So until we get there have fun exploring until I get there. Then we will have more adventures ahead.”
