She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Genevieve Mattingly and Ignatius Wathen; her husband Harry Albert Leymeister; her son Curtis Leymeister; and her siblings, John Wathen, Imelda Johnson, Mary Arban, Elizabeth Tippett, Frank Wathen, McGuire Wathen, Truman Wathen, Sr., Joseph Wathen and James Wathen.
She is survived by: her child Thomas Leymeister (Gail) of Newburg, MD.; and her sister Jean Hammett Martin of Huntingtown, MD. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home (41590 Fenwick St, Leonardtown, MD 20650). A prayer was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (29119 Point Lookout Rd, Mechanicsville, MD 20660).
