She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond Wright and Mary Helena Beal. She is survived by : her significant other Kenneth Thornton; her daughters, Kyona Wright and Chante Battle; her siblings, Mary Watkins, Alice Young, Edward Young (Belinda), Margie Harrod (Carlton), Hattie Daughtry and Raymond Wright (Patricia); and her grandsons, Davonte Battle and Lamari Porter. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Free Worship Ministries (21600 Great Mills Rd, Lexington Park, MD 20653). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
