She was predeceased by: her parents, Steven Hillary Johnson and Alice Virginia Day; her grandchildren, Geary Allen Bish Jr. and Stacy Lynn Russell; her sisters, Marion Nelson, Gloria Marshall, Alice Reichel and Margie Tessier; and her husband Sonny.

She is survived by: her daughters, Candy Meyers (Teddy), Terry Russell (Willy) and Stephanie Casselman (Terry); her half-brother Dennis Thorne; her uncle Joe; and her aunt Amy Jenkins. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home (41590 Fenwick St, Leonardtown, MD 20650). A prayer was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church (43927 St Johns Rd, Hollywood, MD 20636).
