He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lizer and Madeline Smith Lizer; his children, John (Joanne) and Patty (Joe); and his siblings, Alphonsus, Allen, Richard, Harvey and Clara.
He is survived by: his wife Mary of West Baltimore; his children, James Jr. (Kelly), Ernest (Cara), Mary (David), Jamie (Paul) and Rae (Justin); and his grandchildren, Jonathan, Will, Daniel, Darren, Charlie, John (Stephanie), Frank (Deena), Lena (Andre), Rachel, Jessica, Chelsie and Anna. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
