He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hicks and Etta Hicks (Wildason); his sister Dorothy Hicks Miller; and his cousins, Buddy Calder, Donald Calder and Joan Calder.
He is survived by: his wife Pattie Hicks (Barber); his children, Kimberly D. Winnicki (Michael), Kelly Hower (Woody) and William Hicks, III; his grandchildren, Brittany Major (Jay), Katherine Cregar (Matthew), Woodrow Hower, IV (Kassi), Patricia Taylor (Troyal), Lauren Maines, Damon Winnicki (Pamela), Marlaina Gresko (Tyler), Mariah Maturana (Isaak), Mitchell Winnicki, Garrett Maines, Hailey Hicks and William T. Hicks, IV; his nieces, Theresa Tibbs (Barry) and Kimberly Yates; and his cousins, Elaine Evans, Carolyn Wells and Robin Brocato. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Abingdon-McComas Family Funeral Homes (1317 Cokesbury Rd, Abingdon, MD 21009). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at the Bel Air Memorial Gardens (809 Rock Spring Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014).
