He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Dennis and Anna Dennis; and his siblings, Albert Dennis Jr. (PeeWee), Gary Dennis (Buck), Constance Dennis and Darlene Hart.

He is survived by: his wife Essie Dennis (Eley); his children, Deborah Dennis of Edgewood, MD, Robert Louis Dennis, Jr. Havre (Bobby) of Grace, Cheryl Dennis-Strickland (Ronald) and Cassandra Dennis; and his grandchildren, Jessica, Brittney (Solomon), Tiffany, Dominic, Gabriel, Gianna, Shayne, Trevor (Tristan), Karmen, Ronald Jr., Elijah and Caleb.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (200 Old Post Rd, Aberdeen, MD 21001). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
