He was predeceased by: his wife Irene Bowman; his parents, Floyd Bowman and Margaret "Gertie" Bowman; his son John Bowman; and his sister Charlotte "Bonnie" Fitzgerald.

He is survived by: his brothers, Jesse "Gene" Bowman and Dale Bowman (Judy).

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, one of his favorite charities.
