He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Warren Joseph Sr. and Margaret Louise Smith (Payne); his wife Doris June Smith of Harwood; his son Joseph Russell Smith of Edinburg, VA; his stepdaughter Brenda Atkins of Brandywine; and his siblings, Clyde Smith, Marie Hennessey, Ruth Ann Holler and Francis Eugene "Jughead" Smith. He was also cherished by 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
