She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward H. Dougherty and Caroline E. Doughtery. She is survived by: her husband Adam W. Schmitt; her children, Peggi Michaels of Odenton and Howard Hardesty of Edgewater; and her grandchildren, Preston Bembe of Severna Park, Richard Bembe of Westminster and Alison Mascetti of Stevensville. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Davidsonville United Methodist Church (819 W Central Ave, Davidsonville, MD 21035).
