With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Louis Maurice Matthews (Hanover, Maryland), who passed away on January 18, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Samuel Matthews. He is survived by: his son Damon (Colleen); his wife Nanine; his sons, Maurice Louis Sr. (Pamela) and L. Marvin (Gina); his grandchildren, Maurice Louis Jr., Mikayla, Peri, Jaryd, Mason and Bryce Louis; his close friend Michael Betts; and his brothers, Jimmy (Audrey Johnson), Harry Jennings, Wilson (Emma Hebron), Sonny Trapp, Ernest Cantrell and Aisha Heyward. He is also survived by goddaughter, (Jocelyn Williams); nieces, nephews.
