He was predeceased by: his father Walter R. Dyer, Sr.; his wife Marsha Vantz; and his sisters, Evangeline Pelton and Geraldine French (Janet Henderson). He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Northcraft (Alan) of Mercersburg, PA and Kimberly Smith of Timonium, MD; and his grandchildren, Emily Beth Kriner (Clint), Matthew Walter Smith (Amanda), Sarah Dyer Beavers (Thomas) and Ashley Nicole Dail (Jonathan). He is also survived by five great grandsons and three great granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bud's name can be made to the Hancock United Methodist Church, Hancock Lions Club or the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame, Knoxville, Iowa.
