Norman Trail Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman Trail of Hancock, Maryland, who passed away on September 28, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Rintha Grace Trail (Clingerman); and his siblings, Idella Lucas, John, Walter and Larry Trail.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Marie Trail (Hovermale); his children, Diane Crouse (Bob) of Twinsburg, Joyce Fleming (Lee) of Hancock, Penny Lipinski (Steve) of Hancock and Richard "Rick" Trail (Wanda) of Needmore; his grandchildren, Liz Cosens (Crouse), Sarah Hammerschmidt (Crouse), Laura Creek (Fleming), Amanda Fleming, Eric Trail, Tony Trail, Jennifer Hoover (Trail), Kristen Jenkins (Trail) and Jenna Lipinski; and his siblings, Jean Powers of Hancock, Linda Bain of Needmore and Ronald Trail of Hancock. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md., on Thursday, October 1, 2020, from 5:00 until 8:00 p. m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private service, for immediate family only, will be held in the Hancock United Methodist Church, at 11:00 a. m., Friday, October 2, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Hancock United Methodist Church, 170 W. Main St., Hancock, Md. 27150.
