She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ernest Barnard and Pauline Barnard (Spitzer); her husband Raymond Merrell; her daughters, Carolyn Bradshaw and Ann Marie Allison; her brothers, Jack and Mike Barnard; and her grandson Robert J. Allison.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Allison of Breezewood, Brenda Allison of Hagerstown, Betty Allison of Hancock, Patricia Jones of Florida and James Allison, Jr. of Hancock; and her brother Charles Barnard of South Carolina. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
