He was predeceased by: his parents, Fonzie Unger and Eleanor Unger (McManus); his wife Vivian I. Unger; his son Michael Unger; his grandson Josh Unger; and his siblings, Eugene, Gary, Roger Lee, Harold Robert Unger and Betty Sipes.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Reed of Clear Spring, MD. and Greg Unger of Hancock, MD; his grandsons, Dylan Reed of Waynesboro, PA. and Cody Unger of Berkeley Springs, WV.; and his siblings, Leroy Unger of Hagerstown, MD., Jean Walls of Hancock, MD., Darlene Shives of Berkeley Springs, WV. and Tina Starliper of Hancock, MD.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
