He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos A. Ward and Ora E. Ward (Scriever); his wife Norma Louise Ward (Hendershot); and his siblings, Hayes E. Ward, Herbert W. Ward, Albert L. Ward, Eugene M. Ward, Janet H. Schetrompf, Lena M. Yonker (Peg), Dorothy L. Shank, Naomi D. Bohrer and J. June Ziler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Wanda L. Kane (Gene) of Hagerstown, MD and Brenda M. Strait (Al) of Colorado Springs, CO; his grandchildren, Shea White, Brittney Jones, Kyle Strait, Brooke Eldridge, Shauntelle Myers and Kami Huckstep; his stepgrandchildren, Eugene Kane, Jr., Lloyd Kane, Mary Hammond and Charlene Kane; his great grandchildren, Hunter Eldridge, Macey Jones, Lily Jones, Karter Jones, Mylee Strait, Betsey Strait, Breck Huckstep, Gunner Eldridge, Maverick Eldridge, Jett Huckstep, Tyler Myers, Duke Huckstep, McKenna Myers and Van Huckstep; and his siblings, Billy L. Ward and Betty F. Fischer.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (200 Douglas Ave, Hancock, MD 21750). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Buck Valley Methodist Cemetery (6600 Buck Valley Rd, Warfordsburg, PA 17267).
