She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Garland and Rosa Garland; and her husband Clyde Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Wanda Jones, Rose Edmondson, Kenneth Hughes and Linda Nelson; her siblings, Eddie, Richard, Bill, Oliver, Robert, Roy Garland, Mae Fowler, Ruby Feathers, Lucy Hughes and Sue Ella Johnson; and her grandsons, Michael Brothers and Joshua Jones.
