He was predeceased by: his parents, George Waterman Welsh, Sr. and Ethel May Welsh; his wife Janet Warren Welsh; and his sisters, Lula Dillinger and Maxine Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, Jannell Sloan (Jeff) of Ninety Six, SC, Pam Nickoles (Roland) of Hampstead, MD and George "Chip" Welsh (Karen) of Towson, MD; his grandchildren, Steven Sloan (Caitlin), Shawn Sloan (Jennifer), Kevin Nickoles (Nicole), Brandon Sloan (Juliana), Cole Nickoles (Kayla), George R. Welsh, Jr., William Welsh and Jenna Welsh; and his great grandchildren, Aleena Nickoles, Oliver Sloan, Sophia Nickoles, Eloise Sloan, Bennett Nickoles and Cameron Sloan.
