She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Otto Wachter and Florence Wachter; her husband Mervin Hayes; and her siblings, Charles Wachter and Ednamae Ring.
She is survived by: her sons, Kevin Hayes (Suzanne) and Charles K. Hayes (Claire); her grandchildren, Christopher Hayes (late Molly) and Emily Kivi (Keith); and her great grandchildren, Hannah Kivi, Liam Hayes and Lindsay Kivi.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
