She is survived by: her husband Carl "Rick" R. Thomas; her children, Stephanie Woolley and Keith Thomas; and her grandchildren, Elise, Natalie, Hailey, Jon and Joe.

The family requests donations to be made in Sonya's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
