She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband James "Jim" Riley, Jr.; her children, John Chaney (Cissy), Shane D. Spielman (Sonja), Edith Spielman-Clayton (George) and Dallas Spielman (Pedro Bonilla); and her sister Margaret Howard. She was also cherished by six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
