He is survived by: his parents, Michael Tingler and Mary "Lena" Tingler; his son Joshua Tingler, Jr.; his siblings, Angel Rites and Michael Tingler; his grandmother Maryjane Byrum; and his nieces and nephews, Marleigh Tingler, Morgan Tingler, Harper Rites, Haven Rites, Michael Tingler, Jr. and Thomas Rites, IV. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
