He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bailey and Evelyn Bailey; and his son James L. Bailey, II (Karen). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bailey; his daughters, Cathy O'Dea (Tom), Lisa Dorr (Ron) and Janet Kuhn (John); his grandchild TJ; his great grandchildren, Chris, Tommy, Zack, Tally, Jordan and Lilly; and his brothers, Mehrle, Donald, Robert, Raymond and Daniel. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church or Gilchrist Hospice-Towson.
