He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mack Spurlin and Bessie Spurlin; his spouse Shirley Spurlin; his children, Christie Sandel (Mike) and Katie Chambers (Terry); his siblings, Dorothy Sizemore, Earl Spurlin (Sheila), Jake, Mack and Herbert Spurlin; and his grandson Lucas Michael Sandel.
