He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Shockney and Anne Shockney; his brother Jack Shockney; and his sister-in-law Maria Shockney. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Shockney (Ginny); his children, Nick Shockney (Lisa) and Pat Shockney (Vicki); his grandchildren, Rachel Shockney, Matthew Shockney, Sophia Shockney, Meghan Shockney and Tristan Simpkins; his sibling Abbey Shockney; his siblings-in-law, Lil Shockney and Marie Shockney; and his nieces and nephews, Johnny Shockney, Tony Shockney, Maria Shockney and Laura Shockney. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Dennis' memory to the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department Annual-Funddrive (arbutusvfd.org).
